So, I tried to apply for the card, got to the 3rd step and could not submit without reviewing the terms & conditions. Did that, but it then would not let me get back to my application. So, I did it again - same result. So, I thought I'd start a chat to let them know of the problem. After explaining the situation in the Chat 5 times - literally - I was transferred to a phone agent, who told me to try it again because she had not heard of this issue. When I informed her that I had already tried twice, she basically told me there was nothing she could do. I asked if she could escalate the problem because I saw another customer who had the same issue - I even read the review to her. She told me again that she had not heard of the issue and there was nothing she could do. Well, Amazon, usually I'm impressed with your service - you missed the boat on this one.
I filled out the application and was asked to read the terms and conditions first. It would not let me submit otherwise. I did so and could not get out of the T&C without losing my application so I could never hit submit. Disappointed it did not work, I tried multiple times. I have always loved AMEX and a huge Amazon fan, both for the frictionless yet secure experiences they provide. This was more frustrating than frictionless.
I have spent 38 years trying to get AMEX credit and be it $500 or $5000, I am happy to be approved. I already had the Chase Visa with $9500 credit but the APR was too high....Its been paid off and now Ill switch my Amazon Credit decisions that aren't Debit to AMEX and build a great history with them.... Plus the card is pretty spiffy or so I think!
